So here goes. I am a blog virgin. This is very scary.....
My goal for the year is a 10km race. Up until now, I've been running 3 times per week for 20 mins (without stopping) - my greatest running related achievement to date. This past weekend - at the advice of CR Clairie and Louise - I set out to run for 30mins on an out and back course. I stopped for 90sec at the half way mark. It was more a Cliff Young kind of shuffle than run (and I probably went toooo slow) but I actually managed a negative split (my first - woo hoo !). Happy days - nice way to start a blog !

There is no such thing as too slow at this stage - worry about speed later. The negative split is a great sign, though!

Just wanted to say Hi and welcome to the land of blogging - you sound like you're at a similar place to me in terms of training - I just did my first 10km in a group run last night - though I had a couple of walking breaks during that!
