Day 21 - more time with Satan...

Gee, this is a hard life. I managed to drag myself off the couch & away from my book long enough to get to the gym for an hour with Satan:

Activity: weights with Satan
Time: 1.30pm
Duration: 60mins
Mood/energy: a little flat
ITB: ok

A really tough session today - any time I spend an hour in her company (despite all the gossip & chit chat) is bound to be tough, physically and mentally. Today's torture session consisted of:
* squats with a swiss ball focusing on VMO;
* prone hold on toes;
* some nameless exercise using a swiss ball that tortured my obliques;
* side leg lifts;
* dumbbell shoulder press standing on disks,
repeated 3 times followed by:
* step ups
* assisted chin ups on the smith machine
* reverse flyes
* crunches,
repeated 3 times, followed by 20mins of stretching. My hip was a little tight last night & this morning; not sure why. Today was really tough. My swim tomorrow is not going to be pretty. Now I'm exhausted so it's back to the couch to watch the tennis and read my book...

Jen - what does Satan think of your ITB problems? Is she good at working around all the advice you get from the osteo/chiro etc?
Anyway - glad to hear you're spending time on the couch. Much needed and deserved!

Watching other people go to work: priceless.

Tell Mr Jen_runs you could get used to this lounging around by the pool and on the couch reading good books.

The reaction should be priceless.

What are you reading? I'm currently reading The Road to McCarthy and then I have about another 6 to read, including Harry Potter.

Your Satan sessions certainly keep you honest!
