30min run

Headed out early this morning for the scheduled 30mins run. After the problems during Sunday's run, I confess that I wasn't expecting much. I ran without a watch (as the battery died last night) but after stopping to ask two people the time, I figured that I had run for 30mins (a bit over if anything). It's strange that I can now judge how long that I've been running for (without looking at my watch and thinking: 5mins, is that all?)

Anyway it was an easy, comfortable run. I actually ran up the hill (well, slight incline actually) that I remember running up when I first went for a run about 18 months ago now - funny it seemed so much steeper back then ;-)

As for the knee, it is displaying a typical female tendency - the ability to change its mind for no (apparent) reason at all. Today it was largely fine. A slight tightness in it in the last 5mins but nothing like Sunday....who knows what's going on with it...I'm not going to suggest its improving; I don't think it is; just that whatever I did today didn't aggrevate it very much. Oh well, one run without too many problems - I'll take that !

I've been running without a watch often on my mid-week runs for while now Jen. Helps me to just enjoy being out and about. Fingers crossed that your aches & pains stay away.

Nice that your knee was behaving a bit today.

But even nicer to hear a female admit that a changeable mind is inherently gender based, and not something that us boys are imagining ;)

Hey Jen
Why is the body so fickle? Mine cant work out which bit is sore on any given day! nothing a good hot shower and a massage wont fix! I hope that this is just you knee being fickel!! Bummer about the result in the paper... very irritating! But hey it will be a great PB :)!!
See you Friday

I'd give anything to be able to run at the moment - and its only been 48hours since I sprained my ankle! Went back to the gym today and did upper body weights - my arms were still shaky by the time i got back to work!
