I've been off the road for 4 weeks today and really my knee has not improved at all in that time. Given that I had a niggle in my knee from the second I got out of bed this morning, I imagine it's going to be another 4 weeks (at least) before I can start running again. Bugger, bugger, bugger, bugger, bugger.
I had planned to go to the gym this morning but instead I've been sitting at my desk since 6.30am in an effort to get a stack of urgent things done in the hope I will make it to my firm's Xmas party at 1pm. I've worked through a Xmas party before (and slept through last year's thanks to a migraine) so nothing at all would surprise me right now.

I'm sure you will make it Cinderella :-)
Naughty ITB - but it will get better Jen, it will, it will, it will!
Hang in there Jen. A drop in the ocean in the big scheme. Make sure you get to your work do also, no-one starts work at 6.30am to get stuck there come party time. If it isnt finished, there is always monday!
Jen, maybe it just needs more time. Look at the battle Clairie had with her ITB. She won, and she came back stronger than before.
Hope you make it to the Chrissy party. No daggy 80s dancing though, don't want to aggravate that knee.
Go the party!
Jen, are you still seeing a physio or witch doctor for remedial action on the ITB? I can't recall seeing any blogging on that recently, it might need some manipulation as well as rest....
December just flies by Jen. Before you know it it's Xmas, the NYE, then Jen_swims --> Jen_runs. Relax and enjoy ... :)
I hope you are at the party now. I know how frustrated you are but one day soon you'll hop out of bed, pain free and be back on the road. I can't believe it's been 4 weeks already. Stay strong lovely and your dreams will come true.
I hope you are at the party...if not at least you will go home knowing you worked damn hard when others were partying...
It is a long and ardious road this injury one. We are all there with you Jen cheering you on and holding your hand.
Patience, Grasshopper.
Did you make it to the party? I hope you did.
By the way the tentative wedding date is....?
Waking up at 5 for swiming?? That's to much for many, including me!!!
Go to the party, enjoy.
Fortunately this days go away sooner than normal, enjoy.
Jen, ask Santa to fix your knee as a Christmas present! And of course, get to the party no matter what!
We don't have time for these injuries!
Maybe they announced that you're an equity partner at the Christmas party.
Keep trying to run or testing it out anyway.
