Another day, another dead lift...

Monday 28 Sept
No recovery run today as I was heading back from Penriff this morning.

After work it was back to the gym for another killer weights session with Satan:

* a circuit of dead-lifts, shoulder press and lying tricep extensions (sans break) with 15kg barbell (same circuit as last week) (3 sets);

* then a circuit of standing flyes followed by prone hold (elbows & toes for 60sec) (2 sets).

It was such a tough session (with more reps on the first circuit than last week). I just about crawled out of the gym afterwards....

Tuesday 29 Sept
It seems it's been a wise decision to have an easy/recovery week this week. Woke up with a bit of a sore throat this morning :-(

Another interval session on the bike this morning while watching L’Alpe d’Huez stage of the 99 TdF. Yes, the boys are still climbing.

5mins warm up
4 x 3min hard/1:30min recovery
5mins cool down
Total: 28mins

I'm always surprised by how sore I am after doing those deadlifts. It doesn't hurt to do them...it's afterwards!

Hope the sore throat doesn't develop into anything more. An easy week sounds like a sensible idea.

You look like spiderman on the climbing photos. Very impressive, particularly tackling the not-so-vertical wall with the incline.

It'd drive me up the wall. Looks like a lot of fun.

July was big Jen.

You could always send Garmin Elektra out on her own.

Look after your cold.
