Look out Lance!

I'm missing the enjoyment too Hilda :-(

After a much needed sleep-in, I pulled out the windtrainer (or "mag" trainer as the tri-geek Miners calls it) this cold, wet & windy Saturday morning. It came with a training DVD led by Chris Carmichael, Lance's coach, so I figured I'd give it a go today. 50mins & loads of sweat later, I just about fell off the bike. Bloody tough but I really enjoyed it. Now that's done, I can lay on the couch, guilt free, reading for a couple of hours :-)

Long run in the Royal National Park tomorrow - just how long, I'll let the body decide tomorrow.

now YOU'RE being cheeky too!

Best of luck with the Nat Park run tomorrow, Sounds like it's going to be loads of fun - much like playing in the mud as an 8-year old

Oi you, there's a difference between a mag trainer and a wind trainer, okay. And it's got nothing to do with being a tri-geek, we cycle geeks are just as fussy! ;)

A mag trainer uses magnetic resistance. You can set the resistance independently of how fast the wheel rotates. In contrast, the windtrainer has a fan type resistance and the faster you go, the higher the resistance. So you can't spin easily on it. It's a nasty, nasty thing that makes you very, very tough, which is why I stay away from windtrainers!
